on 27th November 1969 in Bhuj, Kutch Kavitaben received her basic
education in Bhuj and Gandhidham before she enrolled herself to
Polson Homeopathic College, Anand. Armed with a degree in Homeopathy,
she started a homeopathy clinic in Bhuj and Gandhinagar.
Though admitting the quick benefits of allopathy, she was averse
to the use of the medicine, which actually was out of reach of the
poor and was devastated at the side effects that it left behind.

fate took a different course. Dr Kavita died of an accident on the
21st February. In a lifespan too short for a great personality like
her, she had managed to convince a huge mass the benefits of homeopathy
in medicine and left behind a disheartened and shattered family
and a sad group of friends.
But her love of life, her un ruling faith
in God and humanity and the need to do something, provoked her friends
and family to continue on the good cause she initiated.
The memory of her kind soul, her dedication to the betterment of
society and the love of her living in the hearts of her family and
friends has taken shape into a Dr. Kavita (Meera)
Sachdev Smarak Trust since 23rd March 95. They are deeply involved
in educating future homeopaths, conducting free camps, various scholarship
awards. Cultural Promotions and appreciations are the other areas
where the Trust promotes the youth of Kutch, of which Dr Kavita
was one.
