The Lohana Seva Samiti – Porbander have been instrumental in conducting social welfare projects like match making,
   

education and organising medical camps over the years. They have earned special recognition for their illustrating works for the betterment of society.

In a meeting held at the Shri Lohana Balashram – Porbander on the 31^st December 2000, The Samiti, under the guidance and supervision of Shri Ramjibhai Raghunath Popat, president, Shri Lohana Mahajan Samaj – Porbander, unanimously elected its new team of members. The team sworn in is expected to continue the reformatory projects for the next two years and maintain its reputation in the society.

The visionary and founder president Shri Jayantilal S Sachdev along with Shri Ramjibhai Raghunath Popat, representing Shri Lohana Mahajan Samaj – Porbander, Shri Vinubhai Gaondiya, representing Shri Lohana Balashram- Porbander, Shri Prafulbhai Kotecha, president, Shri Jalaram Seva Samiti, Shri Dilipbhai Atara, president, Shri Lohana Uvak Mandal – Chhayan were all honoured at the function and felicitated with bouquets.

The new team under the presidentship of Shri Bharat Lakhani started their term in the office with a matchmaking function that was held on the 7^th January 2001 at the Lohana Vidyarthi Bhuvan – Morbi.
