Shree Halai Lohana Mahajan - Mumbai, Sanchalit, Mahila Utkarsh Samiti is operating from Mumbai and has approx. 1800 members from Mumbai to Virar and Mulund. It is conducting various workshops, seminars, variety programs. The Samiti has recently started various profession / job oriented classes like Interior Decoration, Fashion / Textile Designing, Jewelry Designing, English Speaking, Beautician, Home Science, Ceramic Pottery and Stained Glass Paintings at Thakurdwar, Malad & Vasai at concessional and subsidised rates for its members only. Any bright member completing the training of Interior Decoration will be given further practical training in well-known workshop and may be offered good job if desired. Any woman member can take benefit of the activities conducted by the Samiti. The Annual Membership Fee is Rs. 50/-

"Shri Kanaiyalal Thakkar,Vice President of Shri Lohana Mahaparishad Passes away"

The Vice President of Shri Lohana Mahaparishad Vidarbha Region,Shri Kanaiyalal Thakkar died of a massive heart attack Monday. He was 70.Shri Kanaiyalal Thakkar was a well known businessman of Nagpur. He was associated with Shri Mahaparishad and Lohana Mahajan Nagpur since last more than 25 years. He was also associated with many other Social organisations of Nagpur.Raguvanshi.com conveys sincere condolence to the family members of the deceased. We gratefully remember his contribution to our community and pray to the almighty god for resting his divine soul in eternal peace.

"Shri Lohana Vidhayarthi Bhavan Andheri (Bombay) to admit 11th std. students from this year''

Shri Lohana Vidyarthi Bhavan Andheri (Bombay) in it's trust board and managing committee meeting held on Sunday the 28th May 2k,has decided to provide accommodation to Jr.college students(11th std) in Andheri vidyarthi bhavan from this year. Initially accommodation will be provided to 16 such students ,which gradually will be increased up to 48.Earlier the Vidhayarthi Bhavan was giving admission to students studying in schools only. (ie. from std.4 to SSC). This facility has been provided in addition to the existing accommodation to the school students. Considering to the ever increasing demand from the members of our community to provide accommodation to more and more students, particularly students coming from out of Bombay for college or professional studies, the committee has decided to build another building in the compound of Shri Vidyarthi Bhavan. Construction work of this building will start from next year. We earnestly request the members of our community world over to donate generously to this extremely needed project.
