Engagement

Congratulations,
you’re getting married! If you’re like most, your wedding day is
singularly one of the most important days in your life. The
time has come, but the difficulty is to know where to begin. First, you
should announce your engagement and share your wonderful news with
your relatives and friends. Some people prefer a formal invitation,
others simply prefer word of mouth or
may be an engagement party. Whatever you choose to do be sure to
enjoy this wonderful and most important time in your life. |
|
|
Now, just like with any major undertaking, you first start with the big picture and then work your
way down to the details. The first issue you need to think about, as
it will affect the rest of your wedding plan, is money. Obviously
you have a lot of people in the family and friends who will take
much of the burden. But to organize so many things yourself would
truly be a complete new experience. |
|
|
Here we give you
some questions to
ask yourself, before you take the final plunge, it is the answers to
these questions which will determine your how well or not your
wedding will go: |
|
|
Budgeting doesn’t sound very
romantic, but let’s face it. Unless you’re among a chosen few
with whom the “sky’s the limit …”. You need to set a budget
with your family. How much you can spend
on your wedding and who’s going to contribute to your wedding
expenses?
|
|
|
With that in mind, your next step
is to develop an overall framework for your wedding. You need to
begin thinking about what kind of wedding you want. Do you want a
small, intimate wedding or a grand, lavish celebration, or maybe
something in between?
|
|
|
How much money do you want to spend
on your wedding?
Do you want a small or large wedding?
Do you want an indoor or an outdoor wedding?
What time of year do you want to get married?
Do you want to get married during the day or in the evening?
Do you want a traditional style wedding or something
more contemporary?
Do you want an elegant, formal setting or something more romantic
and intimate?
Do you want a formal sit down dinner, a cocktail reception
or something in between?
Do you want to get married close to home or at some
other “exciting”
or romantic destination?
Do you want to get married and have your reception at the
same location?

The
expectations and anticipations of every person are different from
their wedding, it is not appropriate nor even remotely possible to
make decisions for someone on such an important matter. It is then
only within the purview of this article to provide the correct
issues to be tackled. Once you’ve answered some of these general questions, we hope you will
have found out for yourself which course to take to make your way
through a wonderful wedding, which is as per your desires. Best of
luck to you! |
