  • Chandrakant Vallabhdas Chothani is a very well known name and a face in the community when it comes to Social & Cultural activities. He is globally known by his social, religious and humanitarian activities. He is a very humble man & always has a smile on his face; he only believes in helping people to the best of his ability. He enjoys working for the people. His motto in life is to live for others and not live for himself. He attains his knowledge from his spiritual leader HDH. Pramukh Swami Maharaj.


  • Chandrakant Chothani is available round the clock, 24/7 for all kinds of humanitarian help. He is globally attached with a lot of Non-Government based Organizations (NGO) for all kinds of humanitarian activities, and holds a senior position.


  • He was on the abroad committee of the Indian Embassy in Muscat, Oman during the first Gulf war.


  • Chandrakant is one of the Founder Members of the Muscat Gujarati Samaj, and holds the position of a Vice- President and General Secretary for the past 32 years in Oman.
  • Chandrakant is also a secretary on the abroad committee of Vishwa Gujarati Samaj that operates its head office from India.


  • He is also an Honorary Managing Trustee for Purshottam Kanji Pawani Kanya Chhtralaya where 125 poor community girls are provided higher education and best facilities for their living.


  • Chandrakant is a trustee of Janakalyan Medical Cancer Society that runs in the province of Gujarat, Mandvi-Kutch.


  • Chandrakant has been awarded several times by different organizations globally for his non stop humanitarian activities. He has also received recognition letters from the Government of India on a country level based (Embassy of India (Oman), Government of Gujarat, Ministry of Health Oman etc.


  • The Government of Oman, & the Ministry of Health has honored Chandrakant as a best friend and a promoter for the Blood Donation Drives that happen in Oman, through various organizations.


  • Muscat Raghuvanshi Lohana Parivar honored Chandrakant for his outstanding contribution to the Lohana community in Oman.


  • Chandrakant is also a well known writer who has written a Book by the name of “History of Gujarati People residing in Oman” which was appreciated by the Sultan Qaboos University & the Government of Oman, Sultanate of Oman.


  • Chandrakant truly preaches, that “ it’s not important how much you live for yourself, but it’s very important to live for others, everyone lives for themselves, but only a handful of them live for others” According to Chandrakant, he says he is still working on getting better.


  • Chandrakant completes his happy family by having his wife, son and a daughter. He strongly believes that without their support and his mother’s support and blessings he would have not achieved these many accomplishments in life.


  • Chandrakant Chothani who comes from a middle class family living in India had a dream to achieve something in life and be helpful to the community. He moved to Oman, Muscat in 1975 for a better living and then gradually build his path way to success by giving his dedicated contribution to the community.
